CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 – For Undergraduate law programs

Candidates who will fill the CLAT 2020 Application Form for undergraduate law programs are advised to read the CLAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria as mentioned here-

  • Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination from any recognized educational institution.
  • Candidates need to score at least 45% marks in their qualifying degree to appear in CLAT 2020. For the candidates belonging to SC and ST categories need to score at least 40 percent marks in the aggregate of subjects.

  • Candidates applying for postgraduate law program, LLM need to possess a bachelor’s degree in law. The law degree can be of five-year integrated or three-year law program from an institution approved by Bar Council of India.
  • Candidates need to score at least 55 percent in his/her qualifying degree. Whereas candidates belonging to reserved categories have been given 5 percent relaxation wherein they need to score 50 percent marks in their qualifying degree of law.
